HSK
The Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (HSK), (Chinese: 汉语水平考试), translated as Chinese Proficiency Test, is China’s only standardized test of Mandarin proficiency for non-native speakers. The test is administered by Hanban, a non-government organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The HSK test approximates the English TOEFL. The test aims to be a certificate of language proficiency for higher educational and professional purposes.
HSK Exam
Level 1 and 2 consist of only 2 parts: listening and reading comprehension. Starting from level 3, there will be the third part of writing Chinese characters. In each part you can reach 100 points, thus in total 200 or 300 points. For HSK 3 and higher, you pass as soon as you have reached 180 points or more, no matter how they are arranged.
